Search your pickup/drop-off location and dates on hertz.is, then move through a simple 5-step flow — Search, Rates, Extras, Book, Confirm — to pick your car and finish your reservation.
Breaking it Down
After you search, the Rates step shows available vehicles filterable by category (Compact, Economy, Intermediate, SUV, Passenger Vans, Electric Cars, Luxury, Camper and Special Vehicles), sortable by Best Value, Lowest Price, or Highest Price, with prices shown in your chosen currency. From there you move to Extras (add coverage/add-ons), then Book and Confirm to complete the reservation. “Pay Now” bookings are charged immediately and come at a lower rate than paying at pickup, since Hertz Iceland applies an automatic discount for the online prepay option; “pay on arrival” bookings can be cancelled free any time before rental start, while prepaid bookings need 72+ hours’ notice for a refund.
