The Volkswagen Caddy camper is a perfect combination of accommodation and transportation for couples, solo travellers or a small group of two travelling around the island. You can stay overnight at any campsite along the Ring Road of Iceland (i.e. route 1 or ‘circle road’) whenever you like. Park, pay and stay, as easy as that.
Our manual 2WD VW camper is from the latest model and equipped with new safety and driving system. It is also equipped with a fold-up bed that could sleep two persons, curtains attached to all windows, an LED spotlight in the tailgate, and so many more other special features.
Cooking and eating utensils, primus for Cooking and one gas bottle will be included with your rental. You can also rent other camping equipment from us after you finish your booking.
The VW camper is suitable on all paved roads in Iceland, but it is NOT allowed on any F-roads (Icelandic mountain roads) or highland roads. If you would like to camp in the highland area with a camper van, please rent a 4×4 camper for your trip.

Basic car rental requirements
- You must be 20 years of age to drive this vehicle.
- A valid credit card in the main renter’s name is required to reserve and rent the vehicle.
- The driver must present a valid driving license held for a minimum of one year at the time of rental.
- An International Driving Permit (IDP) / International Driving License (IDL) is also required if your national driving license is not in Roman script.
Driving restriction
- This vehicle is NOT allowed in the highlands and any F-roads.
